Special Cell

The Special Cell is an important component of the educational institutions. In educational institutions, the Special Cell is responsible for promoting the welfare and interests of students and staff belonging to the SC/ST/NT communities. The cell acts as a bridge between the administration and the SC and ST students and staff, addressing their grievances and facilitating their participation in academic and extracurricular activities.

The Special cell of the College was established with the purpose to empower the Special students in the College. The College takes special interest in facilitating financial support to students from these communities from government agencies and other sources. They are also encouraged to enroll for career orientation & skill enhancement programs, which would equip them with the necessary skills to choose a career options. Also College follows and comply all the rules, regulations relating with reservation policy prescribed by the Central and state governments.

Objectives

  • To implement strictly the reservation policy in matters of appointments of teaching and non teaching staff.
  • To implement strictly reservation policy in matters of in admission of students to Law programmes as per the directions by government.
  • To collect information and maintain record regarding to the number of students belonging to SC/ST/NT enrolled in the college.
  • To maintain the roster of teaching and non- teaching staff in the college.
  • To scrutinize and approve the advertisement that may be issued by management for recruiting both teaching and non teaching post.
  • To improve the status of SC/ST/NT and marginalized students socially and educationally, so as to enable them to take their rightful place in the main stream of the society.
  • To counsel and guide SC/ST/NT students and help in managing academic and personal issues of College life effectively.
  • To supervise the allotment and distribution of scholarship for various reserved candidates.
  • To deal with representation received from backward class candidates regarding their admission and recruitment promotion and other similar matters in the college.
  • To review the present position of backlog in non-teaching categories.
  • To arrange guest lectures on reservation policy and also about the facilities, scholarships, free ships, fellowships and government schemes to the SC/ST students.
  • To create the awareness among SC/ST students regarding various scholarships program of State Govt. and UGC.
  • To initiate any action or scheme suo-moto in consonance with the mandate of the government.
  • To create the mechanism to redress the grievance of SC/ST/NT students, if any
  • To ensure protection and reservation as provided in the constitution of India.
