On June 21, 2024, Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, celebrated International Yoga Day with an engaging session that included yoga demonstrations and mindfulness practices. Faculty and students participated enthusiastically, highlighting the importance of physical and mental well-being. The event aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and enhance focus among students. Participants expressed their commitment to incorporating yoga into their daily routines for overall wellness.

On June 26, 2024, Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, hosted a one-day workshop on the replacement of existing criminal laws with new legislation set to be implemented from July 1, 2024. Legal experts discussed the key changes introduced by the new laws and their potential impact on the justice system. The workshop emphasized the importance of understanding these reforms, highlighting issues related to implementation and enforcement. Students actively participated in debates and case studies, exploring the implications for both legal practitioners and the public. The event aimed to prepare future lawyers for the evolving landscape of criminal law in India.

On August 26, 2024, Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, hosted an elocution competition organized by the Sensitization Wing of the Women Cell, focusing on vital topics such as awareness of gender equity, measures to make cities safe for women, and challenges faced by women in the workplace. Participants passionately addressed these issues, showcasing their understanding and commitment to promoting gender equality. On September 5, 2024, Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, celebrated Teachers’ Day with heartfelt tributes and activities honoring the dedication of faculty members. Students expressed their gratitude through speeches, performances, and personalized tokens of appreciation, fostering a spirit of respect and admiration.

On August 31, 2024, Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, hosted a guest lecture by Dr. Nikita Karnawat on diet and nutrition, focusing on their impact on PCOD and PCOS. Dr. Karnawat provided valuable insights into how dietary choices can influence these conditions, promoting awareness among students. The interactive session encouraged participants to adopt healthier lifestyle practices for better reproductive health.

On September 28, 2024, Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, organized a guest lecture on the Civil Procedure Code, featuring Adv. Madhavacharya as the keynote speaker. The session provided students with critical insights into procedural law, enhancing their understanding of legal practices in civil litigation.

On August 20, 2024, the Election Literacy Club and Cultural Wing of the Women Cell at Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, hosted a vibrant poster-making competition. Participants creatively explored themes such as the rich history and heritage of democracy in India, envisioning the future of democracy by 2030, and the pivotal role of elections in shaping our future. The event fostered awareness and encouraged innovative expressions of democratic values among students.

On 2nd October 2024, Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with a photo pujan ceremony to honor Mahatma Gandhi. The event commenced with a Swachhata Abhiyan led by college students, promoting cleanliness and community service. Dr. Suchita Surgihalli enlightened the audience about Gandhi’s philosophy, while Dr. Atul Jadhav spoke on his contributions to social and political reforms.

An essay writing competition was organized by the Safety Wing of the Women Cell at Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, on 5th October 2024. The event aimed to raise awareness about women’s safety and empowerment, encouraging students to express their thoughts creatively.

Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, celebrated Hadga and Garba on 10th October 2024, fostering a vibrant cultural atmosphere. Students and faculty participated enthusiastically in traditional dances, showcasing their artistic talents and unity. The event highlighted the importance of cultural heritage and community spirit within the college.

Shahaji Law College, Kolhapur, Women Cell (Legal Aid Wing) & Beti Bachao Abhiyan, celebrated International Girl Child Day on 11 Oct. 2024. Speakers for the program were Adv. Shilpa Sutar and API. Kranti Patil on POCSO Act and it’s provisions.
